I have recently graduated from Google Education's Innovator Academy!

I tend to focus on all my failures and how I don’t measure up over and over again. Even when I got my "Congratulations" email for this program, I thought that maybe it was an accident. I confided in a friend my doubts and fears and she responded with eloquence: “quit being stupid- you were meant to be here” (get yourself a friend like that).
My favorite part of this whole program is how they have celebrated our failures. We are encouraged to fail fast and fail forward. About halfway through the ceremony, I got super emotional because I finally allowed myself to be proud of how hard I’ve worked in this program, and proud of my failures, and realized that my most recent failure is all part of a bigger picture. Here’s to failure my fellow failures!

I will now be focusing on a project to work with those who need the most technology assistance but often get overlooked: the guardians. Many parents and guardians want to help their child, but are overwhelmed with how to use the devices and the online programs. My goal is to bring low-tech solutions to these high-tech problems to help our guardians feel comfortable and confident helping their children. I plan to call it "GOOGLE GUARDIANS"!
