Word Searches in Google Classroom

As teachers, we love a word search! It's a good "early finisher" activity and can tie in to spelling and even vocabulary. I've always loved making a "Class of ____" Word Search with all of the graduating seniors' names. The students LOVED them and they usually turned into a keepsake that students put in their memory books, or folded up into a shoebox.

To make your own crossword puzzle, quit making tables and putting in letters- that is a TIME WASTER. You need to get to know Discovery Education's PuzzleMaker!


That site is amazing! It's so easy to create Crossword puzzles for your study guides, vocabulary practice, etc. It's easy, fun, and works as a perfect substitute for Fill in the Blank Worksheets (because that's essentially what it is). Take some time to play around with it!


And yes, MATH teachers, there is even a math puzzle called Math Squares, so it's for everyone!
